Tips on using Sentiment Analytics
In this section we will be adding tips on how to use our various sentiment analytics tools.
-
Using Sentiment Rankings
One way of using sentiment analytics is to first click on Sentiment Rankings in the left menu. In the next step sort by daily sentiment change by clicking on column "Change from previous day" (you can alternatively also sort by weekly change or by change with respect to 7d day average). In the next step of analysis we generally do not look at cryptocurrencies which have market cap lower than 80 million USD. These cryptocurrencies often have number of daily tweets low enough that they are more easily susceptible to manipulation or the statistical significance is too low. Taking this into account in the next step you can open a large number of sentiment charts by pressing CTRL and consecutively clicking on small sentiment charts at the right of the table. We then examine sentiment charts, also click in chart points to get tagclouds and themes discussed and then also check tweets volumes. While of course not every sentiment surge will result in price surge it so far turned out to be interesting data for trading.
For past cases please read section Sentiment Signals at the following link (we occasionally post some of the cases on our blog): Past cases of using sentiment analytics
